i think this should be counted as a sport, although its kinda ambiguous...lulz

anyway, who does martial arts or has done martial arts before?
i did taekwondo at school for about half a year, then choy-lee-fut for like another half a year, currently been studying wing chun for about a year and 3 months.

and dont bash each others styles here (pun intended), i respect all martial arts for having its own unique strengths in certain situations

Done taekwondo for about 1-2 years, stopped at red belt 1 because my opinion on the classes weren't great so i thought i could look for a better centre where i can get my black belt with better instuctors, my experienced people, etc. Smile

anybody up for a friendly spar sometime?

You know what, the question that really has been getting to me ever since is "what style of martial arts is better", I mean every style has its pros and cons and depending on the individual that possess it, "theoretically" what is better?

My uncle was incredibly good at Karate, like national level and everything. He was a black belt and joined the army because of the compulsory military service in the country he was born in - unfortunately, the first time he saluted he killed himself.
    *I have no regrets.*

thats actually quite a sad story.

i dont think there's a definitive objective answer to that. every practitioner would say their own style is the best because they've dedicated themselves in that form for the necessary amounts of time to truly appreciate the practicality and the whole art itself on a theoretical level.
